CLIMBING COACHING

Rob has assisted with coaching the Irish climbing team for over 10 years and in 2018 he proudly accepted the position of Head Coach. 

Coaching sessions with Rob are a journey of exploration in climbing movement. Rob will investigate your climbing and look at potential weaknesses, flaws and inefficiencies that may be holding you back from the next grade.  

 

Climbing more efficiently is about feel and what suits you and your body type. Analysis of movement is where Rob excels, assisting you in unlocking moves and sequences, giving you that eureka moment to solving the problem or route.  This will arm you with new skills to take into your climbing journey.

 

Coaching on rock is also a completely bespoke experience. If you have indoor experience but find the transition to the rock daunting, intimidating and somewhat scary – look no further. Rob will be able to break the transition down and apply what you have learnt indoors to out. A fun experience and opens the doors to a whole new world of climbing and destinations.


If you are more experienced and want help on a specific route/problem or to master your clipping/redpoint tactics, Rob will be able to help you. He can advise you on some of the best routes/problems in our country on many types of rock. A huge enthusiast for climbing, Rob will be able to help you surpass your goals and improve on the nuances of climbing on rock.

 

1:1 and 1:2  sessions lasting up to 90 mins.

1:3 and 1:4 sessions lasting up to 120 mins.
