TREATMENTS

PHYSIOTHERAPY

Your consultation begins with a comprehensive assessment designed to understand both the nature of your pain and its underlying cause. This allows us to build a clear picture of your condition and identify the most effective path forward.

Based on our findings, we create a tailored treatment plan specific to your needs. This may include:

  • Joint mobilisation to restore movement and reduce stiffness

  • Soft tissue release to ease tension and improve flexibility

  • 1:1 exercise rehabilitation to rebuild strength and support recovery

  • Other modalities such as acupuncture or kinesiology taping, where appropriate

Our goal is not only to relieve your symptoms but to provide a long‑term solution that helps you recover faster and more effectively.

We believe strongly in prevention rather than cure. That’s why we’ll also teach you personalised exercises and pain‑prevention techniques, giving you the tools to take control of your condition and reduce the risk of recurrence.

Treatments

Joint Mobilisation and Manipulation

Occasionally our joints can become stiff or even maligned due to injury, poor posture or even muscle imbalances. This can lead to pain and discomfort and sometimes the best treatment is to take a hands on approach to mobilise and manipulate the mechanical joint problem.

Kinesiology Taping

Kinesio taping uses elastic therapeutic tape to support muscles and joints without restricting movement. By gently lifting the skin, it improves circulation, reduces swelling, and helps relieve pain.

This technique complements physiotherapy and sports therapy, enhancing recovery and promoting better body awareness during activity

IASTM

Instrumented assisted soft tissue mobilisation are medical grade stainless steel tools which are used to assist in soft tissue mobilisation.

They are particularly beneficial in tendinous injuries to aid in recovery.

Tailored Exercise Programs

We create individual exercise programs designed not only to aid recovery and reduce the risk of re‑injury, but also to empower you with the tools and confidence to manage your own progress.

Sports Massage

Sports massage involves a range of manual techniques designed to relieve tension, aid recovery, and improve performance. The most commonly used methods include effleurage, petrissage, tapotement, deep tissue work, trigger point therapy, and myofascial release.

Pilates

Pilates is a body‑conditioning practice that targets the deeper stabilising muscles, helping the larger, more superficial muscles work efficiently and reducing the risk of injury. It restores muscular balance, improves posture, enhances flexibility, builds strength and endurance, regulates breathing, and promotes more efficient movement.

This versatile method is ideal for everyday conditioning and serves as an excellent cross‑training exercise to support performance in other sports.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a therapy developed from Traditional Chinese Medicine, where fine needles are gently inserted into specific points on the body known as meridians. These points are used to stimulate the body’s natural healing response, encouraging the release of pain‑relieving chemicals, promoting recovery, and enhancing overall wellbeing.

Myofascial Release

A manual therapy technique that uses gentle, sustained pressure to relieve pain and restore motion by stretching and releasing the fascia, the connective tissue surrounding muscles. It alleviates restrictions, improves flexibility, and promotes overall tissue health.
